Elasticsearch has gained popularity as a great search engine and it is due to its capabilty to store, search and analyze huge data volume in near real-time and this can be achieved by having designed our Elasticsearch using our needs as the driving factor to customize it. Index is what gets used by Elasticsearh Cluster to speed up the search operations, that can be performed with Metadata(and/or Content)of the uploaded files in the system. Indexing can be a expensive and time consuming if not performed wisely.
