got the same misery with MAC an Windows10
already spent hours, days of investigation.
Can´t imagine, that only we both have this issue. We´re using Mac also. I disconnected AOS in Word, tried different word-to-alfresco-user -lgoins and also differnt alfresco-Login, even the admin-login for word-to-alfresco and alfreso.
we three :-)
Haha
So, which configuration you use? OS, Word-Version ? What did you tried on the local machine? Somewhere is a status change from :Alfresco allow to work on the doc TO Opening in Word and deny to work on the doc. Who is guilty, Alfresco or Word ?
i've got a whole bunch of users affected !
Here a Screenshot from my MAC, latest 365 Word. Write Protected...
The Document was edited before without Problems on a WIN10 an very old Word365 Version ( 16.0 ) without Problems.
One think we can be sure : Does MS like what we are doing ?
- Using Alfresco as an alternative to Sharepoint ?
I dont think so !
How should we solve the problem without knowing it ?
Migrate to Sharepoint ?
i dont think so !
Migrate from O365 to Libre office and keep Alfresco as a rock solid an open solution.
Mac OS X Mojave 10.14 und Word Office 365 16.23 (190309). My neighbour can edit, I get only-read message. In the moment of re-opening the document for editing in word it seems, that word gets a status change (change of rights) through the sharepoint-protocol. 1. Is it possible to have a look to that protocol? 2. Or it is a local problem on the OS. 3. Or it is a word-bug, that randomly some users get and other not. Other ideas
Migrate to Sharepoint? Then you get other problems By the way, it is possible to make here a group for best practicing alfresco and share expierences?
So on jive there are some discussions about connectivity between mac and word.
