Could not load PDF content - rendering the PDF doc...

Error case: in Alfresco Share a document is selected, edited (simple changes), saved, closed, and after committing the changes, the error "Could not load PDF content" appears. Apparently while currently trying to render the new document in the Alfresco Share UI.

Reviewing the console the request ->

https://domain/share/proxy/alfresco/api/node/workspace/SpacesStore/xxxx/content/thumbnails/pdf?c=for...

Returns a status code of 500 Internal error with message ->

Automatically when refreshing the page, the document is rendered correctly, the error message no longer appears and the commit is done correctly.

Notes:
- I'm using Alfresco Content Services 7.2.
- The file structure was checked and is correct.
- The document has access.
- Before committing the document renders fine in the browser, only the error occurs when trying to render the PDF in the UI once the commit is done.
- The error appears only in some cases, in other cases it renders well and doesn't appear.
- Testing from a Client to the API that fails in these cases, responds well on several occasions.

Key points: when the document is committed but not with the document open, but from a previous route, the commit is done correctly and the error does not appear.

But when it's done directly with the document open, the error message appears and the document is not rendered

I appreciate if you can provide me with guidance on the case, since different points have already been reviewed from the configuration and the case continues to appear.

Not sure about the exact setup you have, but as the error indicates, the rendtions are not available for the previews. when you refresh the page and as the rendition becomes available by then it starts to show up.

If you are using enterprise version, how have you setup your transformation services ? Is this a docker based deployment or setup manually using distribution package.

Note that, Share relies on local transform service and so both async trasform service and local transform service should be enabled.

It's a docker based implementation.

We're experiencing the issue only when committing changes directly within the document itself (PDF fails 60%), but not when committing changes from the folder that contains the document, it's possible that there might be a timing or event-handling issue specific to the document-level editing process (the message doesn't appear and when opened it renders well).

For these reasons it's not very clear to me that it is a configuration issue, taking into account that in some cases it works well.
