Increase ACS performance while copying bulk documents from one site to another

Hi Alfresco team

We are currently copying the 1.5 million documents from one site to another site(Alfresco 5.2.2) with different type applied on it using opencmis api .It is taking around 24 hours copying 5 lakh documents to another site .Our aim is to increase the performance at alfresco end and reduce the time , for this we are trying to disable the auditing ,transformers,thumbnail generation .How much impact does this will have on the performance and what else we can do inorder to reduce the time in copying 5 lakh documents .

Can anyone please suggest
