Nexus version numbering

Jump to solution

I've been testing the Community 7.4.0 zip file. However, looking on Nexus, I can see a large number of similar files, but it's not obvious what they are. If you search for 'alfresco-content-services-community-distribution', for example, you get 25 versions, and a lot more in the lower window.

So how do you identify the current version? What do the -A and -M suffixes mean? Can I assume that 7.4.1.1-A3 is the current/"best" version?

A is Alpha and M is Milestone. Both are not intended to be used out of development scope.

Just choose the latest without those prefixes.
