Just for memories. 

Make path ..tomcat/shared/classes/alfresco/extension/templates/webscripts/org/alfresco/slingshot/search/

Put modified search.get.config.xml and live-search-docs.get.config.xml  into tthis path (got original files from alfresco-share-services-*.*.*.jar ). 

Anyway I think must be some possibility to make search config via Alfresco GUI, not via this devels things.

Old post, but in case it helps, there is a search config in Share, but the one you want to override to change the search template is a repo-tier web script, not a Share tier web script.
