Sorting in Custom types

Hi

I want to sort the custom types in dropdown. I have seen this link  in community.I applied the sorting in the share-custom-config.xml, mentioned in that post.But,I doesn't make any change in the screen. How can i sort the names in ascending or descending order in dropdown.

It seems like , you are expecting different thing, and doing code of different thing, Can you add screenshot and code as well.
