BPMN 2.0 convention for embedded subprocess

Question BPMN convetion. Please see the screenshot as follows:

From the above screenshot - is it permissible to have a flow going backards to main process activity from Deficiency process formalities subprocess? Is it following the conventions of BPMN2.0?

The way you did the loop back to "Examine formal requirements" from "Deficiency process formalities" is valid. However the way you have multiple incoming transitions into "Examine formal requirements" (not fully visible in attached diagram) can cause issues. It is best to merge them using some sort of gateway and have one incoming path into that task.
