Para empezar, yo daría un repaso a los artículos de Jeff Potts (en inglés) que repasa los temas más fundamentales a la hora de desarrollar con Alfresco:

Te dejo acá el contenido de los archivos que mencionas, no he realizado ningún cambio en esos archivos, respecto al conector de base de datos, no he realizado nada con él, si me puedes indicar en que carpeta debo dejarlo, te lo agredecería. Te recuerdo que respecto de la primera instalación realizada esto funcionaba y me conectaba a través del Web Client (http://localhost:8080/alfresco).

Lo otro importante deseo analizar donde se guardan los documentos y de qué forma, ahora como puedo accesar la base de datos??
