Hi,
I have discovered a new Eclipse project called Stardust (http://www.eclipse.org/stardust/) which seems to be a direct competitor with Activiti (both Designer and Engine).
This video seems promising : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhI7IpPSZ_w&feature=youtube_gdata&utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=fe...
Do you have any idea how Activiti and Stardust compare ?
Thanks
Michel

I found the website a few months ago. I think I played around a bit but wasn't impressed. That could have changed though. Haven't heard from them a lot.
I do know Sungard as a company, so it could definitely be something. Only time will tell.

We were reviewing both Stardust and Activiti. The Stardust build was extremely complex and we could never get it working as per the online documentation. We found Activiti to be much more mature and reliable so far, so we dropped our Stardust analysis. It is too bad because it has some great features like a simulation engine. It just seems to have "too many cooks in the kitchen" lacking the level of coordination required to make it seem like a single, uniform project.
